HAVERTZ PROVES HUTH, OTHERS WRONG
Chelsea attacker Kai Havertzwas able to prove compatriot Robert Huth and others who criticised him earlier this season after ending the season well under new manager Thomas Tuchel.
Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba had scored for Chelsea in the Champions League final before Havertz found the back of the net to give Chelsea a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the latest Champions League final.
German international Havertz was able to complete his Chelsea redemption with his Champions League final goal off the assist from England international Mason Mountafter an indifferent start to his career at Stamford Bridge on the back of his big-money move from Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga.
Earlier this year, Robert Huth told Stadium Astro that Havertz should be able to take responsibility for his poor start to his Chelsea career.According to the former Leicester City and Stoke City centre back, Havertz looks like he doesn’t care about what’s happening on the pitch. Robert Huth said he doesn’t like the German national team player’s body language on the pitch.
Havertz improved his Chelsea performancesin the final three months of the campaign especially when the club appointed German tactician Thomas Tuchel as the man to replace club legend Frank Lampard in January.
Robert Huth also discussed Chelsea attacker Timo Werner, a £53m signing from RB Leipzig last summer, and his struggles in front of goal.
Werner struggled for goals in the Premier League for large parts of the season and it has been reported that the club could replace him as their central striker with Borussia Dortmund hitman ErlingHaaland.
