HUTH: LEICESTER CAREER TROPHY HAUL REVEALED
German defender Robert Huth won’t have thought about winning the Premier League title when he signed for Leicester City on loan at the start of 2015. Huth joined the Foxes on loan from Stoke City during the 2015 winter transfer window while the club struggling in the bottom places on the Premier League log on the back of their promotion from the Championship in the summer of 2014.
In his opening weeks as a Leicester City player, Huth contributed immensely to the defensive solidity and organisation in the team as the Foxes managed to escape demotion to the second tier with an amazing run of six wins from the last nine games. Huth would make his move to the King Power Stadium a permanent one in the summer of 2015.
Huth formed a very good defensive partnership with club skipper Wes Morgan and this was important during the season of great escape from relegation plus the biggest of the seasons in the wildest dreams of the most optimistic Leicester City fan. The 2015/16 season which ended with the Premier League title.
That Premier League title was the only major honour that Robert Huth secured during his Leicester City career and it was unexpected. The Foxes sealed a first league title in their history thanks to the input of manager Claudio Ranieri and his players.
