Robert Huth is a summer target of Leicester City
Robert Huth is edging closer and closer to a move to Leicester City with a transfer fee believed to be in the region of €3 million. The head coach of Stoke City, Mark Hughes is prepared to allow Robert Huth to leave the club and offload him in the approaching summer transfer window as the manager already has at his disposal PhillippWollscheid.
Huth signed a loan deal with Leicester City which extended at the end of the season but Nigel Pearson is hoping that he can sign the German defender on a permanent deal and Stoke City is willing to do that.
The 30 year old German defender helped Leicester City in their journey of surviving for another season in the Premier League and this mission was accomplished in a fairly impressive way as Leicester City was able to keep 6 clean sheets from their last 12 Premier League matches of the season.
One of the qualities which has helped Robert Huth in turning him into a favorite at the club is because of his aggressive style of defending while also being able to keep the amount of yellow cards that he receives on a season on the down low. In this recently concluded season, Huth managed to make 14 league appearances for Leicester City and only received 2 yellow cards which is a low amount for a defender.
There still one more year left in the contract of Robert Huth with Stoke City but all fingers are pointing towards the German defender ending his time at the Britannia Stadium sooner than initially expected as he is considered a surplus requirement for Mark Hughes and his team but Leicester City on the other hand have shown that their defensive department is significantly reliant on Robert Huth.
