Eden Hazard believes that the club have one foot on the title
Chelsea star Eden Hazard believes that the club have one foot on the title after managing a narrow 2-1 victory over Stoke City during the weekend.
Hazard was once again at his brilliant best after scoring one goal and creating the other in this victory. The victory has left the blues seven points clear at the top of the table. Arsenal are now their closest rivals after Manchester City lost against Crystal Palace on Monday. Even though the gunners have an easy fixture list going into the last seven matches, Jose Mourinho will be aware that his team only need five wins and a draw from the remaining eight games.
Due to this respect,Hazard says that Chelsea almost have one hand on the title and that they will not be allowing it to slip away from their hands. A number of clubs have been guilty of throwing away such a strong position in the last two months of the campaign. Even Manchester United have not been exempt from this, as the Red Devils threw a similar advantage during the 2010-11 season to the hands of Manchester City. Despite being quite far away from Chelsea, Arsenal have been the inform team in the division.
“We are confident. We are first in the league and we take it game after game. We have the title in our hands. We want to bring the trophy to Stamford Bridge. In the first half against Stoke we created a lot of chances. We played beautiful football and okay, we scored just one goal, but we deserved to score three or four. The most important thing was the victory and we did very well till the end. Remy can score every time when he’s on the pitch. This guy deserves to score a lot of goals,” said Hazard.
